I’m Sytske nijp, a 3D visual artist working as vj, INSTALLATION and 3d artist.
My artist name is ‘LIJPENIJP’ because I make insane (lijpe) art installations and 3D (animated) visuals. My work is a combination between my fascination for the brain and my passion for the night. The brain is both your perception of reality as disappearing in your dreams. Which is both subjective as surrealistic. As the maker I don’t want to explain what you see or how things work, but exactly the opposite. In the nighttime your imagination is larger and therefore I can make my own imagination go wherever I want it to go. The nighttime is the moment where I become the most alive and the time in which preferably do my work. Either in the nightlife or behind my desktop at home where my surrealistic 3D images become a projection of my thoughts and emotions. These features I turn in to real life light projections to blow life in to the nighttime. I make installations and projections to take the 3D animated visuals, movies and stories to the next level, to take them of the screen of my desktop and make the surrealism entering the real life. And with that, stimulate individuals in their imaginations.
The stigmatization that arise with the nightlife give me inspiration to create installations. The nightlife is a place to become whatever they want to be for many individuals, to arise in their ultimate being. The boxes in which the nightlife is trapped I would like to break open (to shift) in that way that everyone can experience how beautiful the nightlife is and the individuals that come alive with it.
